PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS

My interests focus on the conservation and management of threatened and endangered taxa and the ecosystems in which they exist. I have found that the most successful conservation programs are those that encompass a variety of different adaptive approaches, coupled with implementation from the community level. As such I create holistic programs that focus on ecology and molecular biology studies. The results of which then guide outreach and education initiatives and policy from grassroots to international levels. In order to achieve these goals flagships species, such as iguanas, have been incorporated.
